This way, as you release both hands from the little excavator, its side of the body having the faulty track stays raised.

Get the grease fitting off

Locate the grease fitting and get this away from the little excavator. Start by identifying the track idler, that is the smooth wheel of the big wheels connected to the track’s ends. The grease fitting has a size that is approximately half an inch in length, is made of iron, and it looks like the end part of a child’s bottle. After you have positioned and determined the grease fitting, get the wrench and apply this to rotate the object in a counterclockwise course until it’s completely unattached from the body of the mini excavator.

Take away the old track and put a new one

Have the pry bar and utilize this to push the actual track idler back towards the center part of the track. You might also use the machine’s bucket as an alternative to the pry bar. The moment you push the track idler, you will notice grease left behind by the grease fitting that was just taken off pushed outside the hole. As this occurs, the track will also be loosened from its area. Get all the used oil away and remove this properly. Then, take the old, ruined track away from the equipment and change this with a new one.

Place back the grease fitting

Return the grease fitting to its position, and apply the wrench to tighten it in place.

Substitute the lost grease

Fill the grease fitting using clean oil with the use of the grease gun and the tubes of grease. The track idler would return into its main location away from track when the new grease will be added. The fresh grease will then provide the new track with added tension. Stop putting more oil once you notice that the new track begins to sag and levels with the additional track.

Remove the blocks

Elevate the little excavator off the blocks and remove them from under the device. Lower the equipment to the ground and you may now begin using the mini excavator again.

As you work on altering the tracks, use protective footwear and do not ever go below the machine. This is because the machine and the tracks have a considerable weight that could easily cause injury if it accidentally drops on you or any part of your body.
